We are excited for the 2023-2024 Wrestling season to start.  Please read all the below information before registering.

The wrestling season will run from Mid October 2023 to the beginning of March 2024 for the full season.  We provide wrestling for kids ages 4 - 14 not in Highschool.  Age for all children is  as of September 1, 2023.  If you are a middle school wrestler you are more than welcome to register and wrestle with us until the middle school season starts.  Once that season starts if your coaches are ok with it you can still compete with us on the weekends as long as you do not have a middle school event.  We will be offering a half season for the 4 year old age group with the option to extend after Christmas.  

Practice will be held at the Weld Central High School wrestling room. There will be 2 to 3 practices a week Monday - Thursday (days and times TBD by coach and number of registrations).

We wrestle in the Peak 2 Peak wrestling league.   Link - https://peak2peakwrestling.com/   All wrestlers will be required to obtain a USA Wrestling Card before they can practice.  You only need to purchase the $20 Athlete Limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership.  If you are new and never purchased one you will need to create an account. There will be a tournament almost every Saturday starting in November.  Tournaments are not mandatory.  Tournament fees are $25 each tournament and are not included in the registration fees.  Weigh-ins for each tournament will be Thursday night at practice the week of the tournament and fees are due to the club at that time if you plan to wrestle in that weeks tournament.  

The only required equipment will be just wrestling shoes.  We will provide club wrestling uniform.  

We are looking for volunteers to help coach.  An USA wrestling coaches card is required along with a short training video and background check.   The club will reimburse these fees at the end of the season for those coaches who complete these steps and help at practice throughout the season and at tournaments on Saturdays.

We host a home tournament on Nov. 11th.  This is the clubs biggest fundraiser.  We do expect parents to help run tables, concessions and admissions for this tournament.   This can require upwards of 80 people to help for this tournament.
